Aim 1 is to identify research priorities that involves working groups 1 and 4.

Aim 2 is to find out the relevant spatiotemporal scales that involves working groups 3, 2 and 4.

Aims 1 and 2 by advancing research produce the state variables of urban climates and systems that are produced by the sensors and models and their fusion to become a central part of an urban data analytics platform.

Aim 3 discusses the guidelines for implementation of the platform, which involves working groups 2 and 4. An integral part of the platform is an application portal.

Aim 4 discusses the protocol for applying the platform for developing portfolios of impact-based decision-support services, which involves working groups 1 and 3.

End-users and constantly engaged throughout the process, which is Aim 5, which involves working groups 4 and 5.

Descriptions of the working groups are: WG1 is urban climate research; WG2 is data, model and fusion research; WG3 is urban systems research; WG4 is synthesis across cities and systems; WG5 is end-users and stakeholders.
